Abstract
DC retail site locations. The dataset contains locations and attributes of retail opportunities in DC, created by the Washington, DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP).
While every attempt was made to ensure the quality of the information in our retail sites database, the Washington, DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP) make no warranty, guarantee as to its accuracy, completeness or usefulness for any given purpose. While the WDCEP attempts to update the database when new information comes available it is always recommend that you outreach to each sites' contact(s) for the most up-to-date information. All site locations are approximate and may not reflect the true location of the building/site.
All WDCEP data is stored and exported in Maryland State Plane coordinates NAD 83 meters.
METADATA CONTENT IS IN PROCESS OF VALIDATION AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Data accuracy
Accuracy
The retail sites information comes directly from organization who represent the space or control it. The WDCEP outreaches to brokers, landlords and developers to collect available retail sites that are currently available or planned retail locations. The information is only as accurate as the information that is submitted.
Completeness
The data is believed to be complete and accurate, but is subject to change. The WDCEP outreaches to brokers, landlords and developers each Spring to collect available retail sites that are currently available or planned retail locations. The WDCEP will update this information throughout the year on a "as needed basis."
Horizontal positional accuracy
Each retail site has been assigned a GIS address which is more accurate that the actual address (especially for planned retail sites that may not have a real address yet). The X, Y coordinates were calculated using the DC MAR based on the GIS address field and in a few cases, XY coordinated were manually calculated (and verified) for retail projects where no address was near.
