Abstract

Wireless Hot Spot locations. The dataset contains locations and attributes of Wireless Hot Spots, created as part of the DC Geographic Information System (DC GIS) for the D.C. Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) and participating D.C. government agencies.

All DC GIS data is stored and exported in Maryland State Plane coordinates NAD 83 meters.

METADATA CONTENT IS IN PROCESS OF VALIDATION AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Purpose

This data is used for the planning and management of Washington, D.C. by local government agencies.

Contact OCTO GIS. Any data obtained outside of OCTO GIS are unauthorized copies.

in OCTO	Following are the details of the work performed on the Wireless hotspot file: Added 49 new sites Added Address ID for 650 SAVANNAH STREET SE Corrected 303 15TH STREETS SE - STREET misspelled Corrected 49TH & QUARLES STREETS SE to 49TH STREET NE & QUARLES STREET NE Corrected 53RD & FITCH STREETS SE to 53RD STREET SE & FITCH STREET SE Changed abbreviated expressions, some of those are: Rec to Recreation DHCD/OP to Department of Housing and Community Development/Office of Planning MPD to Metropolitan Police Department FEMS to District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (FEMS) DPW to District of Columbia Department of Public Works (DPW) DOES to District of Columbia Department of Employment Services RFK Trailer to Robert F Kennedy Memorial Stadium Trailer OSSE, SEID to Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), State Enforcement and Investigative Division (SEID)
