Abstract

This dataset displays a directory that lists all Healthy Family/Thriving Communities Collaboratives in the District of Columbia. The Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) is the District of Columbia public agency that protects child victims, and children at risk, of abuse or neglect. The District's Healthy Family/Thriving Communities Collaboratives are CFSA's primary vehicles for neighborhood-based child welfare services. Organized as a broad-based network of community partners, the Collaboratives work with CFSA to: Prevent future abuse and neglect by providing intensive services to at-risk families; Support ongoing CFSA cases that require service linkages, facilitate family visitations, and assist foster and kinship families with other community-based support services; Provide aftercare support to ensure successful permanent placements for children who are reunited with family, emancipated, or placed in kinship, permanent guardianship, or adoption situations. Purpose

This dataset has been created by Citywide Data Warehouse program. The mission of the Citywide Data Warehouse is to provide timely and accurate information for decision-making; support executive and agency management in the implementation of business processes which will guarantee access to useful and well-organized information for DC Government workers, non-governmental organizations, and the public.
