Abstract

This dataset provides a list of the business license categories in the District of Columbia and their associated fees. The Department of Consumer & Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) licenses businesses in more than 150 categories. All fees are current as of October 1, 2008. The license fees do not include any fees for incorporating or registering your trade name with the District of Columbia. The fees also do not include certificate of occupancy fees. The mission of the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs is to protect the health, safety, economic interests, and quality of life of residents, businesses, and visitors in the District of Columbia by issuing licenses and permits, conducting inspections, enforcing building, housing, and safety codes, regulating land use and development, and providing consumer education and advocacy services. Purpose

This dataset has been created by Citywide Data Warehouse program. The mission of the Citywide Data Warehouse is to provide timely and accurate information for decision-making; support executive and agency management in the implementation of business processes which will guarantee access to useful and well-organized information for DC Government workers, non-governmental organizations, and the public.
