Data visualization sites such as Many Eyes
take uploaded data, create visualizations in different styles, and quickly present the user with easily understood information. A further benefit is that users may publish visualizations to the web, and share their uploaded files and data sources. This collaboration not only allows the sharing of information, but also provides other users with the ability to create their own visualizations and provide their own data analysis.
There is only one option: copy/paste data into a provided box.
Anything uploaded or created is visible to public (there is no ‘Draft’ option).
Non-aggregated data can be visualized by choosing an appropriate chart type.
In comparison with editing in a usual Excel-like tool there is no option to edit several cells at once. Currently there is no option to edit data description.
Embedding to Other Websites
Easy to embed charts which are not scaled according to the size of the embedded object. If the size of the embedded object is less than original chart’, the chart’s control might not be accessible.
